Auto-centering
Also known as auto-centring, automatic centering, semi-automatic centering, object centering. Category: Software
Auto-centering corrects a 360 spin in which the product was not placed exactly at the centre of rotation, which makes it appear to wobble or tilt. The software finds the product in each frame and shifts the images so it stays centred.
How PhotoRobot uses it
PhotoRobot Controls offers fully automatic centring, which detects product edges and calculates the centre in each image, and semi-automatic centring, where the operator centres three images and the algorithm corrects the rest of the spinset. Centring works on the horizontal and vertical axis, and the original files are kept as a backup.
